SYNOPSIS
The Kenmore Hotel
At a retirement hotel in Miami in the 1980s, the inhabitants of the hotel commiserate on their situation. In Broward County, an hour away, a middle aged couple, comprised of a compliant wife, Selda, and a difficult, demanding husband, Joe, must decide how to care for the elderly and manipulative mother of the wife who lives at the hotel. Rose, the mother, desperately tries to shame her daughter into taking her in. Meanwhile, the couple must deal with their own relationship as well as their relationship with the mother, and the mother must deal not only with her daughter, her difficult son in law, and her other two children, but with the loneliness of old age.
